This is a learning project to get back into game dev and coding for fun.

Cloning the classic game Breakout to build foundations on rigid  bodies, collisions, events and basic game logic.

This prototype is a working game at its most basic level, I may improve upon this further at a later date but want to move on to new concepts.

Note on the use of AI:

I used Claude as a guide for the process explicitly, it was not used to generate the code in this project for me. I have created a project in Claude that I use to keep me on track, suggest next steps and assist in debugging the code, it does not write the code for me but it may correct my mistakes when prompted to.

I do not oppose the use of AI to assist in a process, I do resist against the replacement of humans in art forms including game dev.

This is great! Now I want screaming bricks, a score board, powerups and a pinball themed background with lights, sounds and music. One improvement at a time that would add flavour to a breakout game. :P
